Disaster Aid Thailand is a humanitarian organization dedicated to emergency relief, food security, and long-term recovery for people affected by natural or man-made disasters. We are part of the Disaster Aid International (DAI) alliance, a Rotary-inspired global network from Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Our mission:
“To deliver aid with dignity, restore hope, and help rebuild lives after disaster.”
Our Origins:
• Founded in 2023, Disaster Aid Thailand was established with strong support from
• Rotary Club of Plutaluang, Chon buri Province, Thailand.
• Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya, Chon buri Province, Thailand.
The vision was clear to create a local humanitarian unit that can respond rapidly to the frequent floods, earthquakes, refugee crises, and conflicts affecting Thailand and its neighbors.

Our Mission in Action
We turn compassion into concrete action through
1) Rice Against Hunger (RAH), Nutritional rice packs for families in crisis.
The Rice Against Hunger (RAH) program is one of Disaster Aid Thailand’s signature humanitarian initiatives, addressing the urgent need for food security during times of disaster.
• Each RAH pack is carefully designed to provide
• High-nutrition rice portions enriched with vitamins and minerals
• Long shelf life, making them ideal for emergency storage and rapid deployment
• Easy cooking or ready-to-eat options, suitable for families with limited cooking facilities
• Portion sizes calculated to sustain a family of 45 members for several days
In disaster situations, many families lose access to kitchens, markets, or farming land. Nutritious rice not only provides essential calories but also helps children, elderly people, and vulnerable groups survive and recover with dignity.
Impact so far
• Distributed over 50 tons of RAH rice across Thailand (Narathiwat, Yala, Chiang Rai) and Myanmar.
• Supported thousands of families during floods, refugee crises, and earthquake recovery.
• Delivered directly to schools, shelters, and remote villages where access to food was completely cut off.
The RAH program demonstrates that a simple bowl of rice can be more than food it is hope, survival, and a symbol of care for those who have lost everything.
2) Clean Water Access,
Providing safe water through SkyHydrant, SkyJuice, and Aquabox filtration systems for schools, shelters, villages, and disaster-hit communities. Access to safe drinking water is often the first and most urgent need after a disaster. Contaminated water leads to outbreaks of diarrhea, cholera, and other life-threatening diseases, especially among children and the elderly.

Disaster Aid Thailand addresses this challenge by installing state-of-the-art water filtration systems
• SkyHydrant A robust filtration unit capable of producing up to 500-1,000 liters of clean water per hour, suitable for schools, shelters, and large communities.
• SkyJuice A community-scale water purification system, designed for villages and refugee camps where thousands rely on a single water source.
• Aquabox Portable, family-sized filtration kits that can be deployed immediately to households or small groups, ensuring access to clean water even in remote areas.
Key Benefits
• Removes bacteria, viruses, and contaminants without chemicals
• Simple to operate and maintain, even in rural or disaster-hit areas
• Long-lasting and sustainable, supporting both emergency relief and long-term recovery
Impact so far
• Installed multiple systems in Narathiwat, Yala, and Chiang Rai during severe flooding (2023-2025).
• Deployed 5 filtration systems across the Thai-Myanmar border and Mandalay region following the 2025 Myanmar earthquake.
• Benefited tens of thousands of people by restoring access to safe, drinkable water within days of disaster.
Clean water is not just about survival it is about dignity, health, and rebuilding hope. Through SkyHydrant, SkyJuice, and Aquabox, Disaster Aid Thailand ensures that no community is left thirsty in the wake of disaster
3) Shelter & Relief Kits, Essential supplies during floods, earthquakes, and displacement.
4) Collaboration, Working with Rotary clubs, NGOs, and community leaders in Thailand and the Asia Pacific for rapid and effective disaster response.
Disaster Aid Thailand works hand-in-hand with
• Rotary Clubs across Thailand and the Asia Pacific providing manpower, funding, and local networks.
• NGOs and humanitarian partners combining expertise and resources to reach communities faster.
• Community leaders and local authorities ensuring aid is delivered where it is needed most, with cultural sensitivity and dignity.
How Collaboration Works
1. Rapid Response Rotary networks enable us to mobilize volunteers and distribute aid within hours of disaster.
2. Regional Solidarity By working with partners in the Asia Pacific, we extend our reach beyond Thailand to Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and beyond.
3. Shared Resources Pooling logistics, funding, and technical expertise ensures efficiency and sustainability.
4. Local Engagement Communities are not just recipients of aid; they are partners in recovery, ensuring long-term resilience.
• Partnerships with Disaster Aid International (DAI) members from Australia, USA, Canada, UK, and Malaysia to share knowledge, technology, and best practices.
5) Sustainable Recovery, Supporting schools, rebuilding communities, and promoting resilience.
Disaster relief does not end when the floodwaters recede or when emergency food runs out. True humanitarian aid must look beyond immediate survival toward long-term recovery and resilience.
At Disaster Aid Thailand, we are committed to helping communities rebuild stronger by
• Supporting Schools Providing school repairs, rebuilding classrooms destroyed by disasters, and supplying educational materials so children can return to learning as soon as possible.
• Rebuilding Communities Working with local leaders to restore public spaces, health centers, and community infrastructure that foster stability and normalcy.
• Promoting Resilience Training communities in disaster preparedness, hygiene practices, and sustainable resource management to reduce vulnerability in future crises.
• Long-term Partnerships Ensuring continuity by engaging Rotary clubs, NGOs, and local stakeholders to keep recovery efforts alive long after the emergency phase.
