Rebuilding Schools and Communities in Myanmar
When the 2025 earthquake struck Sagaing Hill, children lost not only their homes but also their classrooms the very heart of their learning and development.

To restore hope, Disaster Aid Thailand supported the construction of a new classroom building at Yadanar Myint Zu Free Monastic School. This new facility replaced one destroyed by the disaster, providing hundreds of children with a safe place to learn once again. For us, a school is more than bricks and mortar it represents resilience, opportunity, and the promise of a better future.

But rebuilding goes beyond classrooms. We also work hand in hand with local leaders to restore public spaces, health centers, and community infrastructure—the foundations of daily life that bring back stability and normalcy after crisis.

Together, these efforts ensure that children and their communities can rise stronger, with renewed hope for tomorrow.
