Project Update: Yadanar Myint Zu Free Monastic School, Sagaing Hill
We are pleased to share the progress of the new School building at the Yadanar Myint Zu Free Monastic School in Sagaing Hill, Sagaing City.
Construction is moving forward steadily, with the steel frame, brick walls, and roofing structure already completed. This project marks a major milestone for the school and its students:
- Safe Learning Environment – The new building replaces the old structure destroyed by the earthquake, ensuring that students once again have a safe and stable place to study.
- Access to Clean Water – A Sky Hydrant system (with a capacity of 1,000 liters per hour) is being installed to provide clean drinking water not only for the children but also for the surrounding community. This is a vital step toward improving health and well-being.
In addition, the Disaster Aid Thailand team will visit the school between 25–28 September to review the construction progress and meet directly with the teachers, students, and community members.
This project is more than just rebuilding it is about restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity for children and families in Sagaing.
