Urgent Appeal for Support: Kantaw Mingalar Monastery School

The Kantaw Mingalar Monastery School has been severely affected by a recent earthquake, which caused the total collapse of two school buildings and the destruction of the school’s well.

As a small community with no major donors or patrons, we face tremendous challenges in rebuilding these essential facilities. The urgency of our situation was further deepened by a heartbreaking tragedy: just last week, a young novice monk from the monastery lost his life while trying to collect logs from the river to help rebuild the school.

This painful event is a stark reminder of the difficult conditions our community endures and highlights the critical need for safe and reliable infrastructure.
